We are not calling on everyone to do the same thing at the same moment as powerful as might be.  Rather, we invite you to develop creative, place-based actions that tell to story of how you, those you care about, and particular places, neighborhoods, or regions appear in this history of inequality.  When we know how we appear in this history we will have a better sense of what role we can play to achieve full emancipation and truly loving communities of care and freedom.

Let’s begin to weave our stories by composing an “I Am From …” poem. This activity was adapted by Levi Romero and is based on the poem, “Where I am From” by George Ella Lyon.
